Dr. Connie Baptiste

Dr. Connie Baptiste proudly served for over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, including Active Duty, the Air Force Reserve, and the Georgia Air National Guard.

A veteran of Desert Storm/Desert Shield and a Post-9/11 veteran, she earned recognition as the 2023 Georgia Department of Veterans Services Woman Veteran of the Year and 2024 Georgia Department of Agriculture Mental Health Hero.

After retiring, Connie followed her passion for food and community as an award-winning chef and educator. She now owns Hunter Family Farm in Georgia and is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, advocating for the mental health of veterans, farmers, and chefs alike. Her favorite role, however, is being “Grandma” to her grandson Justin, who keeps her grounded.
