Alex Astudillo

Marines

Alex Astudillo joined the U.S. Marine Corps at 17, serving as a generator mechanic with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. He deployed to Kuwait and Fallujah in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and traveled the world aboard a Navy ship, including a memorable stop in Darwin, Australia.

After his service, Alex continued to serve his community as a National Guard recruiter for 1.5 years. He later joined the New York City Fire Department, where he’s proudly worked for 17 years. Now, his firefighting career allows him to live the same camaraderie and sense of purpose he found in the Marines.

Outside of work, Alex is passionate about fitness and community. He rekindled his love for CrossFit in 2022 and now coaches in his spare time. He loves motivating others to challenge themselves and enjoys seeing them grow stronger every day.
