The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is strong but complicated. Many are criticizing America’s role as the list of U.S. weapons supplied to Israel grows despite rising economic concerns and deaths of Palestinian civilians. However, 2025 looks to be a year in which the Biden administration is providing a massive deal to help our Middle Eastern ally even as opposing voices protest such involvement.

What U.S. Weapons Makers Sells Most to Israel?

There are several companies in the defense industry profiting off of selling U.S. weapons to Israel, including but not limited to the following:

  • AeroVironment
  • General Dynamics
  • L3Harris Technologies
  • Lockheed Martin
  • Northrop Grumman
  • RTX (Raytheon)
  • Skydio

Other entities, including GM and Caterpillar, have also benefited from defense purchases, involving their vehicles or components used by military forces.

How Much Does Israel Spend on U.S. Weapons?

There has been an uptick in military spending from Israel recently due to its ongoing war against Hamas and other terrorist groups in the region.

For example, in 2022, Israel spent a total of around $23.4 billion, which was less than the year before. However, the nation also increased its spending by 87% following the October 2023 attack which sparked the war.

69% of Israel's imported weapons were American in 2023 with Germany providing 30% of foreign weaponry.

Foreign Aid

The United States has provided more aid to Israel since it became a nation, with a total of around $310 billion provided over time in modern monetary terms.

Israel has received its largest single-year monetary aid package from the U.S. following its war with Hamas, which is providing not only operational funds but also money that can be used to purchase American weapons.

$8 Billion Sale of U.S. Weapons to Israel in 2025

The list of U.S. weapons supplied to Israel will grow larger as Congress is now allowing $8 billion worth to be sold in a deal that will likely be delivered over a year’s timeframe.

This figure adds to the already $17.9 billion worth of military aid provided by America to Israel, despite President Biden facing more and more criticism for supplying the nation amid rising deaths of Palestinian civilians.

Protests have broken out throughout the country and there have even been pauses to shipments of U.S. weapons to Israel; however, a deal has finally been struck to bolster the Middle Eastern nation once more.

While the list of U.S. weapons supplied to Israel is looking to grow, leadership within the House Foreign Affairs Committee or the Senate Foreign Relations Committee can still look at the package before it is finalized.
