Veterans Day Events You Must Attend
1. Alabama
Where? Mobile Civic Center, Mobile
When? 10:00 A.M. November 11th, 2023
Looking for a parade to attend down in the South? Home to the very first Veteran’s Day, Alabama will continue their annual parade at the Mobile Civic Center at 10 a.m.
2. Arizona
Where? Central Avenue, Phoenix
When? 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. November 11th, 2023
Join “Honoring America’s Veterans” at the parade in Phoenix with more than 45,000 spectators. The parade will head south on Central Avenue and will end at Indian School Road. The parade begins at 11 a.m. to commemorate the signing of the Peace Treaty that ended World War I.
3. Arkansas
Where? Chaffee Crossing Historic District, Fort Smith
When? 12:00 P.M. November 11th, 2023
U.S. Senator John Boozman has declared this parade as the largest Arkansas has ever seen! With floats, motorcycles, tractors, cars, runners, walkers, cyclists, and hundreds of Veterans – you can see it all! Tune in for the parade, medal ceremony, food trucks and more.
4. Florida
Where? Orange Avenue, Orlando
When? 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. November 11th, 2023
The theme of this year’s parade in Orlando is to recognize the significant role of military families and transitioning Veterans. Following the parade, there will be festivities at Lake Eola park featuring food and music!
5. Maryland
Where? Baltimore City
When? 2:00 P.M. November 10th, 2023
The event will begin at the parade steps off of Washington monument at Charles Street and Centre Street.
6. New York
Where? 26th Street and Fifth Avenue, New York City
When? 9:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. November 11th, 2023
As the largest Veterans Day event in the nation, New York City welcomes you with more than 20,000 marchers, 280 marching units, and 25 floats. This year the parade will start bright and early at 9:30a.m. and will go until 12:30 pm. This year’s featured branch is the United States Army.
7. Tennessee
Where? Knoxville Civic Auditorium, Knoxville
When? 10:40 A.M. November 10th, 2023
The Knoxville parade will take place on the 10th, beginning at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. As the 98th parade, this will be a spectacle you don’t want to miss!
8. Texas
Where? Downtown Houston
When? 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. November 11th, 2023
Another parade to honor the people that serve our country! There will be a keynote speaker and a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. in memory of the 102nd anniversary of the signing of the Armistice. The parade will officially begin at 11:30 a.m. and all are welcome to join the parade.
9. Washington State
Where? Auburn, Washington
When? 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. November 11th, 2023
The 58th annual parade is proud to have over 200 units and 6,000 parade participants. The parade begins at Main Street and ends at A Street NW/SW. Additionally, there are lots of other events occurring throughout the day that honor Veterans.
10. Washington D.C.
Where? Arlington National Cemetery
When? November 11th, 2023
At Arlington National Cemetery, official participants can visit the the National Veterans Day Observance Ceremony. Spectators are allowed for the official wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns, however this is on a first come first serve basis and spots are limited.
11. Missouri
Where? Gateway Arch
When? November 11th, 2023
Gateway Arch National Park will offer free admission to all visitors in the span of one week in 2023, one of the days being Veterans Day! The park has lots to offer including a tram ride, a documentary movie, and a museum. These activities are perfect for the entire family!
