Additionally, as medical costs continue to increase, it’s important to understand the compensation available to disabled Veterans. Here’s what you need to know for 2024.

What Is the VA Disability Rate for 2024?

The VA disability compensation rates 2024 vary depending on your disability rating and the number of dependents you have. Here’s how that breaks down:

  • If you have a 10% to 20% VA disability rating, your monthly rate is $171.23 and $327.99, respectively. At this level, you can’t receive higher rates based on the number of dependents you claim.
  • Secondly, for Veterans with a 30% VA disability rating, you can receive anywhere from $524.31 to $624.31 per month.

  • Once you reach a 40% disability rating, your VA disability compensation rates for 2023 range between $755.28 and $887.28 per month.
  • Those with a 50% VA disability rating will receive a monthly rate of $1,075.16 to $1,241.16.
  • At 60%, you’ll receive between $1,361.88 and $1,561.88 per month.
  • Furthermore, with a 70% disability rating, your VA disability compensation 2023 rate is between $1,716.28 and $1,950.28 per month.
  • Additionally, an 80% VA disability rating equates to a figure between $1,995.01 and $2,261.01 each month.
  • A 90% disability rating equals a monthly rate between $2,241.91 and $2,541.91.
  • Finally, with a 100% VA disability rating, you’ll receive between $3,737.85 and $4,072.37 per month.

For Veterans with spouses receiving aid and assistance, additional compensation may be added. Here’s a breakdown of additional benefits you can receive on top of your VA disability compensation:

  • 30% VA disability rating = $57.00.
  • 40% VA disability rating = $76.00.
  • 50% VA disability rating = $95.00.
  • 60% VA disability rating = $114.00.
  • 70% VA disability rating = $134.00.
  • 80% VA disability rating = $153.00.
  • 90% VA disability rating = $172.00.
  • 100% VA disability rating = $191.14.
