A Fitting Tribute Turned Into an Exhibit

“For as long as comics and cartoons have existed, they have provided a platform for Soldiers to express themselves. From everyday frustrations and challenges, to insights, experiences, and perspectives, insider military humor remains a persistent and consistent aspect of military culture.” That’s the quote visitors will find at the beginning of the “Ka-Pow Boom! Understanding the Soldier Experience Through Comic and Illustrative Art” exhibit, located at the Army Heritage and Education Center in the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The exhibit features the AUSA Medal of Honor Graphic Novels and is expected to run through 2025. Introduced in October 2018, the graphic novels continue to provide insight into the lives of these American heroes. It doesn’t take long to realize that the talent behind the project is legitimately impressive. The Medal of Honor Graphic Novel series team has experience working on notable Marvel and DC comics that include: Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and Justice League.
