The DOGE is cutting federal jobs from different areas of the United States of America. The action was taken to pursue Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency following the order of U.S. President Trump.

This is done to align the government workforce into more cost-reduction and efficient work. Affected places were from Democratic partisans, but Republicans will also have minor job cuts.

This amounts to 18.5% of the total percentage of federal workers in the District of Columbia. Given the fact that the District of Columbia is the headquarters of the government, it is no surprise why it has a high percentage of federal workers.

The cutting of many federal workers will be a great advantage to those civilian workers who don't work in the government in an effort to lower taxes and government spending. However, unemployment will arise, which will directly impact the economy of the United States.

Being able to reduce the workforce in the federal field might result in the slow efficiency of providing services to the citizens and market industry. According to the analysis of the Urban Institute, they stated that the cutting of the workforce to this extent won't just affect Washington, DC—it will spill over every region and every state in the country.

A process will have a domino effect even if the one dominant place has the highest chance of cutting the workforce, but it will still result in targeting small areas that will undoubtedly be affected once the federal job cutting starts.

It is still unknown what areas will be affected, but one thing is for sure: the affected areas in the government will result in a chain reaction from every federal department in the U.S.

Future Prospects for 2024 Fired Federal Workers

What will happen to those fired federal workers in the future? The answer is still unknown as the process of cutting federal jobs may require a long process of whether the workers need to stay or say goodbye.

Unemployment will be the fundamental implication to those federal workers that the Trump administration will decrease. This action will impact the present workers and the public workers who are interested in joining public government jobs.

Following the federal hiring freeze of the Trump administration incorporating the federal job cutting, this will be a concerning stage that will surely impact the economy and will have a crisis for citizens as jobs in the federal industry will be limited as per the order of the U.S. President Trump.

DOGE cuts from different places around the Democrats and Republicans partisans are one way to make the workforce efficient in the government, alleviating more volume of workers but rather to focus on the quality of work and application of limiting the budget cut to cater specific numbers of workers.
