Entering into civilian life after serving in the American Armed Forces has well-documented challenges. However, one of the biggest remains the change in workplace environments. Veterans are no longer training to be the best possible warfighters they can be. Now, they are pursuing civilian careers. However, these two worlds don’t always translate well. Consequently, the skills troops gain get lost in the mix transitioning to Veteran status. This is why the Veterans Integration Program by Goldman Sachs continues finding value in the military community for those looking to re-enter civilian life and jumpstart their careers.

What Is the Goldman Sachs Veterans Integration Program?

The Goldman Sachs Veteran’s Integration Program (VIP) is an initiative by the firm for those leaving the military who are looking for employment in finance. With a specific focus on providing Vets with first-hand experience on what it’s like to work at Goldman Sachs, the Veterans Integration Program is an immersive experience unlike any other. It helps make transitioning easier for our nation’s heroes. Hard work and dedication are noteworthy characteristics of the Veteran community, and Goldman Sachs has generated a similar reputation. However, while Goldman Sachs maintains a hardworking environment, a large majority of the firm’s employees rave about the company’s culture. VIP is a great chance to see if a career within the firm is a good fit for some of the hardest-working individuals any financial institution could ask for.

Three Different Programs

The Veterans Integration Program (VIP) from Goldman Sachs is actually three different programs, depending on where you served. This includes the following:

  • America's VIP
  • EMEA VIP 2024
  • India's VIP

Those who have served in the British military are eligible for the EMEA VIP 2024 initiative. Additionally, those who have served in the Indian military qualify for the India VIP. Respectfully, our publication focuses primarily on the U.S. military. Therefore, we’ll break down America's VIP, which is open to Veterans of the American Armed Forces.

Americas Veterans Integration Program (VIP)

Getting an interview at Goldman Sachs is a great opportunity within the world of finance. For example, Veterans within VIP are getting a leg up on what to do through the initiative. Therefore, guidance is provided for how to interview, professional development, and building the skills of Veterans furthering their careers:

  • Above all, Veterans get an education on key businesses throughout the program.
  • Workshops center on helping Veterans connect the military experience to the jobs pursued by Veterans. This helps improve both resumes and interview skills.
  • The planned activities of the program are great; however, its extracurriculars also help. Vets get access to a platform for learning from professionals within the firm even beyond their normal sessions.
  • To qualify for the program, you’ll need to have served at least one year in the U.S. military or to have a partner or spouse who served for this length. Enlisted and commissioned personnel qualify for VIP.

Keep in mind applications for the program are not open as of this writing; however, you may still be able to join in the future. To learn more, you can contact Goldman Sachs recruiting online.

How Much Does the Goldman Sachs Veterans Integration Program Pay?

Understanding the Goldman Sachs Veterans Integration Program salary is a bit tricky; however, here’s what you’ll need to know about pay:
