Welcome to Fort Campbell, home of the legendary 101st Airborne Division. Straddling the Tennessee and Kentucky border, Fort Campbell is a major Army installation that hosts the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, the 5th Special Forces Group, and many others. The base spans nearly 105,000 acres, with about 86% of that undeveloped for training maneuvers. Fort Campbell supports approximately 30,000 active duty soldiers, 51,000 family members, and 6,500 civilian employees. Surrounded by Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Clarksville, Tennessee, you will find plenty of community support, both on and off base. If you're just arriving on orders, enter through any one of many gates and head straight to the 20th Replacement Company on Kentucky Avenue to check in. If you have civilian visitors coming to see you, they will need to stop at one of the two Visitor Control Centers to register for their passes. Off duty, you're in great shape. Clarksville is right outside the gates with restaurants, trails, and a thriving art scene. Nashville is less than an hour south. World-class music, food, and entertainment whenever you need a night out. Prefer the outdoors? Dunbar Cave State Park and the Clarksville Greenway are right there, and Mammoth Cave is an easy weekend trip. Enjoy your time at Fort Campbell.
