SAVE OUR ALLIES IS CONTINUING ITS MISSION IN ISRAEL AND GAZA
Special Ops requires personnel to find possible solutions to impossible situations. This is something the team behind Save Our Allies understands well. Veteran friends watched as the Taliban took control of Kabul and the whole of Afghanistan in 2021. They knew that action needed to be taken. This is when Chad Robichaux, Nick Palmisciano, Sarah Verardo, and Tim Kennedy came together for a rescue mission to save Chad’s combat interpreter. From this would grow an organization that now specializes in helping people in harm’s way find a way out. Related read: US Troops Deployed? Thousands Await the Middle East
Is Save Our Allies Legit?
The work that Save Our Allies conducts is noble and true. Not in a cliché kind of way but in the actions meeting words and showing results kind of way. If you’re looking for proof, look no further than an unusual. However, there is an important factor: the non-profit’s ongoing lawsuit. Typically, you’ll never want to have legal issues, but this is a testament to the organization’s commitment to getting things right. As of now, the Save Our Allies lawsuit alleges that companies defrauded hundreds of thousands of dollars from the organization when they were supposed to help relocate 200 people in Pakistan. Simply put, the mission is to help people escape harmful situations and find their way to safety. Failing to do so on this board’s watch isn’t something taken lightly nor should it be. But because the organization is so new, you won’t find them rated on Charity Navigator just yet. However, their track record and ongoing commitment are encouraging signs. Furthermore, their mission continues to impact lives around the world. A mission that all started when a man named Aziz needed a favor from a man he had saved twice before. Robichaux and his friends knew there was no other choice. Suggested read: The Iron Dome In Israel: A Closer Look
Taliban Took Kabul, So Friends Jumped Into Action
Many were left with uncertainty when the Taliban took back control of Afghanistan. This includes Americans and those who called the country home but had assisted American troops during their time there. The founders of Save Our Allies knew something needed to be done and they jumped into action. Things really got started after Aziz (a JSOC Marine and interpreter) and Veteran Chad Robichaux sent a call for help. Humanitarian needs were already an all-hands-on-deck situation during Operation Allies Refuge. Aziz was a part of eight deployments with Robichaux and saved him twice during these missions. Save Our Allies jumped into action with the help of others to make it happen. Joe Robert was working in the Middle East to find countries to host Americans, allies within Afghanistan, and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders after the evacuation. Robert was able to help the organization along with the American government. Overall, the Save Our Allies coalition was able to save 12,000 people from a situation that is devolving. Not too bad in 10 days from a team that formed in 36 hours and grew to a meager size of 12 members. But make no mistake about it, the group’s mission isn’t over yet. Especially with situations in and around Israel rapidly declining. Save Our Allies Afghanistan exploits birthed lessons, and the knowledge gained there is prepping the group for its new mission surrounding Israel and Gaza.
Save Our Allies Is Working to Evacuate Americans in Israel and Gaza
Teams have already headed to Israel to help individuals escape the area. Since the terrorist attack on Hamas, the region has been at war and more is coming. Meanwhile, civilians stand in the way as humanitarian concerns mount by the second. The plan is to help find Americans looking for a way out and provide them with viable assistance. This is happening all while making sure they fulfil the bureaucracy necessary for the process. This includes getting planes to affected areas to make evacuation possible. An even more complicated situation is getting Americans inside the Gaza Strip home safely. Rather than working with an ally, there are multiple terrorist organizations, active warzone conditions, and travel restrictions in place. Israel has been urging people to leave Gaza as fighting is ongoing. As of this writing, there has been no ground invasion; however, experts and actions are all pointing to this happening soon. It’s only a matter of time. It’s an interesting juxtaposition as they are telling people to evacuate and they are dually wanting to evacuate. Yet, with over 4,000 seats provided by the American government, many flights departed at half capacity or less. Whatever the situation, Save Our Allies seems to be helping connect those who do want to go home with viable means to do so safely.
