What Happened to the Cast of Army Wives?
Army Wives was canceled due to diminishing ratings. But its fanbase was already established and remains enamored with the engaging storylines that made this show so great. General Michael James Holden) Since his days as a part of the Army Wives cast, McNamara has guest-starred on many different projects, including NCIS, Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., and Designated Survivor. Brigid Brannagh (Officer Pamela Moran) Brannagh can be found on Hulu’s Runaways as Stacey Yorkes, a bioengineer, in this Marvel superhero series. She's also been a guest star in recent episodes for 9-1-1: Lone Star and The Good Doctor. Catherine Bell (Denise Sherwood) The actress known for portraying an Army wife kept the military theme going as she would reprise her role from JAG as Sarah MacKenzie on multiple episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles. Bell also starred in the hit series Good Witch on Hallmark Channel. Drew Fuller (2nd Lieutenant Trevor LeBlanc) Fuller is one of the many actors in Army Wives who would go on to star in many other projects after the show. This includes Love Finds You in Charm, Love, Fall & Order, Test Pattern, and Perfect on Paper. Jeremy Davidson (MSG Chase Moran) Davidson would go on to narrate a season of The Making of the Mob on AMC. He also guest-starred on multiple shows, including Bull, Dynasty, NCIS: New Orleans, FBI, and The Blacklist. Kim Delaney (Claudia Joy Holden) Between 2020 and 2021, Delaney played Jackie Templeton in General Hospital, replacing Demi Moore. A Mother's Hunt for Justice: The Long Island Serial Killer was a film credit she picked up from starring in a movie for Lifetime. Currently, you’ll find Delaney recurring on Chicago Fire. Sally Pressman (Roxanne "Roxy" LeBlanc) Pressman continued to make a name for herself by taking on the role of a young Ellis Grey on Grey’s Anatomy. Her work with Shonda Rhimes can also be found in both Scandal and The Catch. She's also worked on other projects, including Younger and Good Girls. Sterling K. Brown (Dr. Roland Burton) You can find Brown in many different projects, often winning Emmys. Such was the case for both his performance as Randall Pearson on This Is Us, as well as his portrayal of Christopher Darden in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Additionally, Brown is in many movies, including Black Panther, The Predator, and Waves. Terry Serpico (Colonel Frank Sherwood) From Designated Survivor to Yellowstone to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, fans will find Serpico in numerous places continuing his intimidating prowess. You’ll even find him returning to duty on Homeland as General Owens. Wendy Davis (Colonel Joan Burton) Actress Wendy Davis hasn’t slowed down since her fictional service. Since Army Wives, Davis has gone on to star in Love Is on OWN as well as guest-star in Bull, Designated Survivor, and Star Trek: Picard. You can also catch her as Joan, a recurring role for the hit drama Bel-Air on Peacock.
Notable Cast Members of Season 7
The Army Wives season 7 cast brought many notable changes to the show and exciting names to the forefront. Many popular stars would take on roles in what would become the final season of the series and have been up to their own thing since things came to a close:
- Ashanti would go on to drop her album Braveheart in 2014 while taking on various acting and producing credits on films and television series such as Unforgettable, Stuck, and Dynasty.
- Jesse McCartney, who played Private Tim Truman, released his album In Technicolor in 2014, continues to tour, has kept his role in the Kingdom Hearts video game series, and remained active through various roles in movies and on TV.
- Brooke Shields has continued her illustrious career in a wide range of shows and films. Mr. Pickles, the Flower Shop Mysteries series, Jane the Virgin, and A Castle for Christmas are but a few of the many examples available.
